Nicola recently received confirmation from the National Cyber Security Centre that she will continue for a second year as a CyberFirst Ambassador; it’s safe to say it was a pretty exciting one to open!
Over the past year, Nicola has taken part in events such as Empower and StemFest, where she’s met enthusiastic students and shared the many opportunities that exist within cyber security, technology and digital careers. Being able to speak directly with young people, answer their questions and help spark their curiosity has been incredibly rewarding.
The CyberFirst Ambassador programme is a brilliant initiative that connects professionals in the industry with the next generation, allowing young people to discover pathways into cyber and tech they might never have considered.
Over the next year, Nicola will continue to attend and support events in the North East, something she is very passionate about.
